The summer transfer window finally came to an end on the 2nd of September in most of the football leagues. Fans had a long period to fantasize about the kind of signings their teams would make. Every team had a plan of the players they would be selling and buying to add more strength to their team. Some of the transfers completed might have been expected by the fans. Here are some of the expected transfers that went through in the 2019 summer transfer window.
Eden Hazard
The most awaited transfer was that of Eden Hazard. The former Chelsea playmaker had stated openly that Real Madrid was his dream destination. He stayed at Chelsea for about five years, and his transfer to Real Madrid had hit the wall in several windows. His transfer in this window was completely inevitable. His inclusion in the Real Madrid squad will increase their firepower upfront thus giving them a chance to take the UEFA Champions League trophy back to Madrid.
Frenkie de Jong and Antoinne Griezmann
De Jong’s transfer to Barcelona was another expected move. The midfielder showed what he can give to a team while at Ajax. The addition of Antoine Griezmann to the Barcelona squad was also another expected transfer in this transfer window. The attacker has been Atletico Madrid’s talisman for the last few years. These are two great additions to the team which will really boost their chances of winning the Champions League in the 2019/2020 season.

Arsenal was also expected to make a major signing as the coach had stated before. The signing finally came as they were able to sign Nicolas Pepe. This is a major addition for them in their attack. This gives them a chance to fight for the Europa League Cup.

Daniel James was also another expected addition for Manchester United. This has helped improve their attack and their chances of winning the Europa League.
